Cllr Jewell commented, “This is welcome news that this resurfacing work is now being completed. It was almost a year ago that I made the request for Lea Road to be resurfaced following repeated fragmentation and potholes on the road.”
He continued, “Our extraordinary wet and freezing winter was the ideal conditions for creating potholes. Lancashire received an additional £5.5m from the Government specifically to repair potholes and maintain our infrastructure.”
The work on Lea Road will be completed mid April.
