Pat Eaton carries the torch for Preston

County Councillor Mark Jewell, together with thousands of others welcomed the Olympic torch as it arrived in Preston.

The first leg of the Preston relay was carried by Pat Eaton, who does lots of work for disabled people in her spare time and is raising money for Francis House.

County Councillor Mark Jewell commented, “It was very exciting welcoming the Olympic torch to Preston and seeing so many young people getting excited about it too. These Olympics are all about inspiring a younger generation to the joys and benefits of sport and I know today has been memorable for all involved.”
