Local campaigner, Mark Jewell, has called upon County Hall to stop wasting money refilling potholes.
Mark reported a pothole at the top of Layton Road in July of last year. Mark commented, “I completed an on line fault report via the Lancashire County Council website. Following a number of follow ups the pothole did not get repaired until late October. By the new year the repair had failed and was only just repaired again on 1st February this year.”
Mark continued, “When the County Council have to make significant savings it is simply not acceptable that the same pothole needs to get repaired a number of times. Money could be saved in the long term by repairing the pothole properly in the first place. It is a quality issue of getting the repair right first time.”Leave a comment
