A new parking scheme is to be introduced to Cottam Lane

County Councillor Mark Jewell is delighted that plans he initiated for Cottam Lane have been approved.

He explains, “Many residents came to me about the Parking problems on Cottam Lane and Birch Avenue. This arose due to visitors and staff to the Ashton Health centre parking there. The new scheme will introduce double yellow lines and time limited parking along Cottam Lane.

The problems of parking on Birch Avenue will be reviewed in the context of this new scheme. If parking persists to be a problem then the scheme will be extended to Birch Avenue too.

The new scheme is scheduled to be introduced within the coming months.
