Anti-terror snooping laws were used by Council chiefs – to check up on their own cleaners, Mark Jewell has revealed.
This was the result of a Freedom of Information request by Councillor Mark Jewell. Some contract cleaners, employed at County Hall, were investigated after being accused of not working enough hours. The allegations turned out to be false.
Councillor Mark Jewell said, “This is a complete abuse of these powers. These powers should only be used if there is a series crime or terrorist activities suspected.”Leave a comment
